The ICT Technical Implementation Unit (UPT TIK) of Universitas Wijaya Kusuma Surabaya (UWKS) is responsible for managing, developing, and delivering all aspects of information and communication technology (ICT) services across the university.

As a vital component of UWKS’s digital infrastructure, UPT TIK supports the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education — education, research, and community service.

By strengthening digital transformation and system integration, UPT TIK ensures that UWKS continues to grow as a smart, innovative, and technology-driven campus

Main Duties and Functions

UPT TIK is led by a Head of the ICT Unit, who is responsible for managing all digital and technological operations at UWKS. The unit is divided into several key divisions:

  • Head of UPT TIK — Responsible for planning, implementing, and developing the university’s ICT management system. The main duties include managing integrated information systems, maintaining internet networks and databases, and developing software to support academic and administrative activities. The Head also coordinates ICT services across university units, enhances staff competence through guidance and training, establishes cooperation in the field of information technology, and ensures all ICT operations run efficiently, securely, and in support of UWKS’s vision to become a smart and technology-driven campus.
  • Head of Computer Network and General Affairs Sub-Unit — Responsible for maintaining and developing computer networks, hardware infrastructure, and managing administrative operations within UPT TIK.
  • Head of Media Center Sub-Unit — Responsible for managing the university’s official website, email services, subdomains, and server infrastructure while promoting open-source software solutions.
  • Head of Electronic Data Processing Sub-Unit — Responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining university information systems, databases, and data processing services across academic and administrative fields.
